Small, Disco, and Neon.

Baby Atlas is a small disco-vibes nightclub hidden underneath Matilda, a super relaxed local bar with a very friendly bartender, and a casual vibe.

I only got to see the bar upstairs, because I came on the wrong night, but everything that I've heard about it sounds excellent.

So, I'll report on what I did see - Matilda upstairs. It's got a family spot vibe, and a humble little bar with a few booths around the room.

I got a white claw and hung out for a little while. Had a fabulous time just chilling, and ended up having a long conversation about the Pacific Northwest with a few other patrons.

Thursdays through Saturdays however, Baby Atlas opens downstairs. It usually has around 50 people on average night, and I’ll be coming back on one of those nights to check it out.

If you walk in and head right to the back of the bar, you’ll see a staircase going down labeled “shock” with a little arrow.

They open at around 10 each night they're active. I’ll gather more intel, but if you’re in the area, check it the heck out!

Edit:

I went back while they were open, and it was excellent. I happened to go on a night when everyone was at the Taylor Swift concert in town, so there weren't many people there, but it's extremely cute. They have a big neon sign, immediately available bathrooms, and a nice bar. Drinks aren't too expensive.

I'll be heading back again on a different weekend to get the full experience when it's packed and lively, but I was very excited I got to see it!
