The Bamboo Room / Three Dots and a Dash

Speakeasy

435 N Clark St

Popular, tropical, and boppin'.

Very crowded immediately. I went shortly after they opened at 5pm on a Saturday and it was PACKED to the brim. A very popular spot, so get in early, or make a reservation!

But the ambiance was very nice - there was no dancing, but it felt like a club atmosphere. Cool kids all around, and tiki drinks - shame it was too crowded for me to sneak to the bar and order something.

To be honest, the bar itself (Three Dots and a Dash) looks equally as hidden. It’s just as dark, looked slightly less packed, and equally as hidden as the bar itself.

I actually had a lot of trouble finding the bar, as the location is marked incorrectly on Google maps. It’s around the corner from firecakes donuts - down the alley on the left - but Google shows it as on the opposite street.

If you’re trying to get there, just follow the Google maps location for three dots and a dash - and then ask for the bamboo room - don't look for the Bamboo Room itself on Google Maps. I linked the correct maps location on this page. I would classify both bars as hidden. It’s very out of the way, and the walk down to get inside is super fun.

A wall of skulls, music, lights, the whole vibe you want when at a tiki spot. :)

Highly recommend - and while I can’t vouch for the drinks just yet, I liked everything else about the spot. Again, you gotta show up early or reserve!
