Speakeasy

Loud, fun, and dancy.
The Bassment is, without a doubt, an absolute jam. It's also the only hidden dance club I've been able to find in town - if you know of any others, please submit them here.
I went with a group on a Friday night, and while it has a reasonable balance of popularity most nights, at peak clubbing hours it's packed.
But the drinks were delicious, and the entertainment was by far the best I've ever seen in a casual setting. It was live music by a small local group of musicians, and they were incredible. They were great at their craft, and they interacted with the audience so naturally. I tipped them $20 bucks just because they did such a good job, and I'll admit, I never do that.
My friends felt comfortable letting loose, everyone was respectful, and the decor was lovely.
Some men ahead of us in line were being rude to a couple girls in my group, and the bouncer immediately told them to get lost, then let us scoot ahead. Overall, the line moved relatively quickly.
Now I know what you're thinking - "Is this really a speakeasy if there's a line to get in?" - and you would have a valid point.
But if you look for The Bassment during the day, it is honestly tucked away and hidden - it's just grown in popularity enough that some peak nights, it's got a small line out the door. There is a $10 dollar cover, as well. (But I consider it well worth it for a quality club experience)
Their version of "Maximum Capacity" however, is significantly more generous than most other clubs. Despite being there when it was completely full, I was able to move relatively freely throughout the space. At the front of the stage we were pressed together a little, but I could easily step aside, move in and out of the crowd, and take a breather.
It was a great experience, and I'll be back soon.
