Speakeasy
955 W Fulton Market
Tiny, elegant, and bougie.
The picture doesn't do this spot justice. I snag most of the images you see on this site from Google, but nobody posted a good one - I'll have to snap my own when I go back.
And I WILL be back - The Office is a spectacular itty bitty speakeasy underneath The Aviary restaurant, and you have to ask to be taken down (as the door in is locked).
There's a perfect little bar, and a vastly extensive drink menu of rare liquors of all sorts - the cocktails are very expensive, but I just ordered myself a small glass of cheap whiskey, and had a great time.
The bartenders there clearly know what they're doing - it was excellent to watch their mastery - and while I didn't order anything, I've heard the food is absolutely top class.
I showed up on a Sunday night, and managed to find a good bit of space at the bar, but you'll need a reservation if you're going with even a small group ( was told they can accommodate groups up to 6), or on more or less any other day of the week.
If you want perfect, private, quiet, classy vibes - hit this up. :) I loved it - and you can check out their website at: https://www.theaviary.com/the-office
